BOTASERA · A LIVING INSIGNIA OPENING TO THE BOSPHORUS
Completed in 2025 in Beykoz, Istanbul, this private waterfront landscape aligns the historic architecture of the Bosphorus with contemporary garden art. At its heart, a circular water garden preserves a mature evergreen specimen and crowns it with slender metal arches. This sculptural centre becomes a clear marker linking the mansion’s symmetrical façade to the upper garden and the Bosphorus beyond. Curved pale-stone walks, clipped hedges and layered flower borders soften the classical order, while mature trees, magnolias, hydrangeas and seasonal colour give the garden a sense of accumulated time. The route from the waterfront to the entrance garden supports intimate family life as naturally as ceremonial arrival. Concealed drainage, flush stone service hatches, controlled irrigation and warm low-level lighting form the engineering structure behind the visible refinement. Presented without disclosing private ownership, the project embodies BOTASERA’s ability to unite cultural context, privacy, craft and advanced landscape technique in one exceptional work.
